Yup. I had my brother buy me the first 3 seasons for my birthday last year (he got them pretty cheap at half.com. I think they were only $150 all together). And then when season 4 came out last october I bought it.

Irish, why do you rate Raging Bull a mob movie? Also to others Mean Streets isn't that much of a mob movie either.

The Godfather movies [although I believe they are more of a family drama then a mob/mafia movie]
Goodfellas
Donnie Brasco
Casino
Analyze This/That
The Untouchables
A Bronx Tale
Sopranos 1/2/3
Gotti
The Last Don
Carlito's Way
City of God

I just got this yesterday. The three movies on it are pretty cheesy, but awesome none the less.

Don Vercetti I put Raging Bull in the mob section because there's a heavy mob influence involved in the movie. Sure the 2 main stars (De Niro & Pesci) aren't mob figures, but Tommy and his crew (including Frank Vincent) are. Sure it's not a Goodfellas or Casino type movie, but I still consider it somewhat of a mob movie.

Carlito gets mixed up with a bunch of Mafioso. A good part of the ending is him getting chased around by mobsters......

It's a movie about the life of Jake LaMotta and his fall into becoming a loser, becoming paranoid and losing his loved ones. Just because Pesci's character has a connection to a mobster [Salvy] does not make it one. Hell, in that case I guess "Some Like it Hot" can be considered a mob movie.

Although I always liked to think it I don't consider a Mob movie only an Italian crime drama. City of God is about the gang scene in Rio, Brazil. Sure maybe it would be more of a gangster movie then a Mob movie but meh.

Thwe only one that was halfway watchable was Death Collector, and even its plot was way out there. Escape from Death Row has nothing to do with the Mafia and Mob War has got to be one of the WORST movies Ive ever seen in my life.

Re: Mafia Movie Collectors - 09/14/04 12:31 AM

Escape from death row may be terrible but those films are pretty good considering the budget and the time period (The Death Collector in the and mob war in the 80s). The only thing I don't agree with in Mob War is why the guy (the one helping Falcone I forget his name)has a picture of a cow with sunglasses and a shell gas station thing in his living room.
