I also thinks it is good because it's based on a man who went through all of that. I just think it is sad that his daughter whats nothing to do with him.

I was just wondering if any one thought there would have been some one beter for the part of George..
yeah i loved this movie, but personally i preferred 'Traffic'. An amazing film. has anyone else seen it?

Was traffic good I never got around to seeing it
I really liked traffic. Mainly because of all the diferent story lines. They captured the world of drugs from every diferent angle, and thats what made it a great movie.
it really is a great movie if you have not already seen it. the interwinding stories keep you intrested and on the edge throughout the movie. some scenes i found fairly disturbing, such as with the young girl, but i suppose this is common within movies associated with drugs.

i heard that the directour of the movie died
Great Movie and musical score. you will have a glimpse on how life is on Pablo Escobar's turf.
GoodFella
I thought it was alright. But the Colombian cartels seemed very weak and dishonorable compared to Italian mobsters. Pablo Escobar would be controlled by Lucky Luciano if they were compared.

i agree Lucky would have put Pablo were he belongs.

This if from Roger Ebert's review:
"The failure (of the movie) is George Jung's. For all the glory of his success and the pathos of his failure, he never became a person interesting enough to make a movie about. The appearance of Ray Liotta here reminds us of Scorsese's "GoodFellas," which took a much less important criminal and made him an immeasurably more interesting character."
I agree. George Jung is a dull guy who lived a wild life. Sounds like an oxy-moron, but it's true.

Blow is an INCREDIBLY UNDER RATED movie, which falls in my top 10. I suggest you all get the Infini Film version of the DVD. It's very good. -Pat
Blow is an amazing movie. One of my favourites. Depp is sensational. The soundtrack is amazing. One of my fav parts is the photo collage with Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light playing in the background. The music really adds to the feel of the movie, makes you feel like your really there in the 70s.
Traffic was equally good.

Blow is a pretty good movie. I remember seeing it for the first time after seeing Casino on USA. I've heard of the movie before, and It didn't look like a drug movie to me. Until I saw it did I realize what a truly remarkable story it is. You should go buy the book if your into the whole Yung coke era.
blow is a good movie but i do not think luck could take pablo he was a very very very rich man his men kill cops for money.
Just seen it for the first time.
Blow **
(2001/Demme/US)
7/10
Because of similar stuff that has gone before, the director feels it can succeed without a narrative; as a frenetically paced depiction of a man on the rise and then on the inevitable fall, it entertains as long as it lasts.

Yeah, Ted Demme. The nephew of the man that brought us "The Silence of the Lambs".
What was interesting was when he died they found cocaine in his system. Blow was his last film.
has anyone been to the george Jung website?
