Goodfellas Question

Can anyone shed some light on how Tommy knew he was about to get whacked when he walked in the room and saw the card table and chairs.
Also,was Jimmy going to whack Karen when she went to look at the Dior dresses for her mom?

1. Tommy saw an empty room, when it should have been populated by Paulie and all the others who would have been there to participate in his initiation.
2. Probably not, IMO. Karen was being paranoid. I'm sure that some here disagree.

i've also read that Henry and Karen was paranoid because of the drugs they took. and also Jimmy did'nt order the hits, its the other guy who's in higher position.

Are the real Henry Hill and Karen still divorced?

I'm pretty sure they're still divorced.

My take on Karen is that she knew she was being set up. She was going to get dresses, and there were only guys moving boxes in a dark alley who all stopped to look to her as if they were waiting. And the way the scene was flowing... She was going to go upstairs to get the dresses, then Jimmy calmly says "oh, no, they're in the alley" or whatever he specifically says. The whole scene seems tense... It has a "whacking" type of feel. Her and Henry were very paranoid also, but I don't think that's the only factor in it.

Either way, Karen's facial expression when she gets back in her car is priceless

Karen and Henry are definately still divorced. Henry has been with his current lady for quite a number of years.
