Favorite Gang Movies

Okay, I'm new here, and it'll show by the topic, but I'd like to know the people I'm talking to and what better way than to see what their favorite mob/gang movies are. I'll give you my top 5 list:

1. Godfather

2. Goodfellas

3. Scarface

4. Dick Tracy

5. Miller's Crossing

Hopefully none of you mention Untouchables in your top 5 list, because that just doesn't make any sense to me. I don't understand why that movie is so popular. But then again, it's all personl opinion, so I won't hold it against you. Thanks for letting me be apart of your forum!

the best mob movie ever is The Godfather, both parts 1 and 2. These films are the reason I like movies at all.
But I also have to say I love Goodfellas and Scarface.

Donnie Brasco was a great film too. Thats proboblly number 6 on my list. I saw heat the other day to which was AMAZING.

as for a gangstermovie, Scarface would be no.6, don't worry guys, I just happen to feel better with Casino.

but wouldn't you consider The Usual Suspects (I can tell from your boardname you like that one) a gang movie as well? A gang of 5 criminals... or doesn't it count that way? I always wonder, because they are not mobsters, and probably not genuine gangster either, but what's the definition...

Good question Pherdy, Usual Suspects is definitely a crime movie, but does it fit into the gangster/mob category? Seems like a gang to me, but... maybe the definition of gang is SIX or more guys. Beats me.

trust me usual suspects would be #2 behind bronx tale but i was under the impression it shouldnt be on the list...when i hear gangstser i think mob...but ur right, its gangster...so heres my amended list....

Pulp Fiction is on my top 5 even though i didnt put it id have to switch stuff around but it matters what you would categorize it as

if this is about West Side Story I hope you did not think of me writing that one down for answering the thread's question "favorite gang movie". :p . it was just to point out that 'gang' is a rather large term in relation to movies.
