I got a question what was the name of the song when he was sniffin' coke. It went something like "just a Shot away".

I didn't rewind my Goodfellas tape, Don Palentino. But that phrase is a chorus in
Gimme Shelter by the Rolling Stones. (Ha! I knew being an old hippie on this board would come in handy some day!)

Yes, it was the studio version of "Gimme Shelter" from the "Let it Bleed" album (the part where Mary Clayton sings the chorus). Uh, another old hippie here...(and I do mean old!) Scorsese put together a great soundtrack for "Goodfellas," but I liked the soundtrack on "Mean Streets" even better because of all the doo-wop (that's how far back I go). It's hard to fault a movie that begins with "Be My Baby" (for that matter, it's hard to top one that begins with "The End.")
