Excluding their performances in the Godfather Trilogy, what do you think are the best performances by each Brando, De Niro and Pacino? Also what do you think is the next best directorial effort by Coppola?

De Niro- Taxi Driver and Raging Bull
Pacino- Scarface, Scent of a Woman, Dog Day Afternoon and Serpico.

Brando - Superman (hey, I'm young, I haven't seen any of his older stuff)
DeNiro - Raging Bull
Pacino - Scarface, Scent of a Woman (hoo-ahh!)
Coppola - Apocalypse Now

Brando: Streetcar, Wild
DeNiro: Taxi, Goodfellas

DeNiro: Raging Bull/Mean Streets ("...DD: Disappointed Dunskey...")

Pacino: Dog Day Afternoon/Scarface (I haven't seen Glengary Glenn Ross)

PS: This list was based on my view of those actors' performances rather than the movie's quality in general...

Robert DeNiro - The Deer Hunter, Taxi Driver and Cape Fear (not the best movie around, but I thought he was excellent in it).
Marlon Brando - A Streetcar Named Desire, On the the Waterfront and The Wild One.
Francis Ford Coppola - Bram Stoker's Dracula (I didn't much like it the first time I saw it but it's kinda grown on me), The Rainmaker and Apocalypse Now.

Oops, and I forgot Raging Bull for Robert De Niro.

What does anyone think of DeNiro's role in "15 Minutes"? Who can forget "Once Upon a Time in America"? or "The Mission"?

Worst DeNiro performance? "The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle"

You didn't ask, but I'd add Duvall for "True Confessions" and "Stalin," though he's such a great and versatile actor that it's hard to pick a "best."
