In Mean Streets would Michael have been wacked for shooting Charlie or would he have gotten a pass because Charlie was told to stay away from Johnny Boy?

I think he would have gotten a pass. After being disrespected the way he was in the right as far as I see it.

It think it all depends on the well-being of Charlie. If he survives and isn't handicapped for life by the attempt, I think Michael would get a pass..

You're right Michael shoulda picked a different time and place but Michael was really pissed (rightfully so)and didn't care. Depending on how well Mike was connected and how well he was liked I think he woulda maybe apologized and paid hospital bills but wouldn't have been hit.Johnny Boy deserved it and Charlie was told to stay away so it's kinda Charlie's fault

I liked mean streets for one reason. You can listen to DeNiro talk and see how much he is not a street guy he actually is. Listen to him talk his voice is fake. He got a lot better at this over the years.

But in this he sounds exactly like Steven Segal sounded in his move that was shot in Brooklyn.

DeNiro is great but he cant do accents Neither can Kietel or Christopher Walken but I think they're good actors
