Anyone ever watched this show, I love it. They recently canceled it on Netflix for whatever reason but I just got into it. Its a comedy, so if you're looking for a hardcore mob show, this isnt for you. But it stars Steve Van Zandt, who plays an NY mobster turned infomant, Frank Tagliano, who ends up in Norway after being relocated. And he basically just resumes activity, using his street sense and mob know how to take over the town, starts his own nightclub, creates an unlikely crew and basically extorts and profits off of whatever and whoever he sees fit
Well the last episode of the 2nd season is the best one by far, its almost like a Soprano reunion show, and there are so many puns. Basically a guy who ended up making a deal with Frank, who goes by the name Giovanni Hendrikson now, whose from his family in NY asks Frank to come back and kill his old boss, who made an attempt on the NY guys life, Robbie, after finding out that he didnt really kill Frank in Norway, which the boss, Aldo Delucci, sent him to do. Well like I said, the episode is one big Soprano pun. Franks riding in NY with his Norwegian friends and their playing the Sopranos theme and riding through NY ala the Sopranos intro, on the way to Frankies mistress house, whose providing them shelter while they're in NY, and Frank looks at his friend whose driving, and playing the theme on the radio and goes "can you turn that shit off?" Franks mistress turns out to be the same woman who played Silvios wife. While their planning the hit on Delucci, whose revealed to be a flaming homosexual, with a filipino boymaid. Franks mistress tells him that the whole gay community are now catholics and go to church. And he can find out info from his priest, about who this boymaid is, but the priest is Franks brother, and they haven't spoke in years, so they have to make up, well the priest turns out to be none other than Paulie Walnuts. Long story short, the hit is successful, and there are laughs all throughout. You just have to not mind subtitles as majority of the Norweigan characters, don't speak English.

I saw it I thought it could have been good if it was not played for laughs. But it was so it wasn't.

I thought the first season was very good, but that it went downhill pretty quickly after that.

I find the Soprano puns pretty cool though. In the episode "Tiger Boy", where Frank gets shot and he shares the hospital room with the crazy old dude. And he says to himself "please tell me this is a bad dream" and the old guy suddenly becomes lucid and says "Its all a dream Silvio".

Last month i was in the middle of changing cable providers so i got netflix to have something to watch. And i saw this show and that it had Silvio in it.. So anyway i watched about 5 or 6 episodes and thouhgt it was pretty funny. Only thing that bothers me is just about everyone besides "Frank" speaks another language.. My girl started complaining because she had to read subtitles lol. But i read that the show was a pretty big hit in Norway. Theyre probably not used to mafia cinema lol
