Your favorite Puzo novel - 09/09/03 11:27 PM

Which is your favorite?
I'd say The Sicilian. I liked it even more than The Godfather (which I LOVE). I liked the other books too, but The Sicilian is so charming

I love Fools Die. I'm reading it for the second time and it's turning out to be a better read than the first time.

Out of what I've read [Godfather, Omerta, The Family] I'm more likeing The Family.

Currently I'm reading The Fortunate Pilgrim, I'm up to page 40 some, and loving it.

I think The Family > The Godfather, just because Godfather was Puzo's sell-out novel.

Love many of his books, but the Fourth K is my fave. Reading it for about the 5th time at the moment!

You're the first one I know that actually said that. Usually people just don't bother to read it.

Yes! I hated reading books but the Sicilian got me into his books. I was judging Mario Puzo once I read the Godfather Returns. I was like "He musnt be that good" now after i read Sicilian, Omerta, and nearly finished reading the Last Don, he is the best writer right now! ---->

The Sicilian was truly a fantastic book. Every sentence seemed to be pure Puzo in every sence. And indeed it was. It was almosy as though Salvatore Guiliano was born and lived his life just so that Puzo could write about it. Okay, that's goin' a little overboard, but if you are interested in reading a book by Puzo, or anyone for that matter, The Sicilian is the best book to choose. Period.

I'd have to say The Godfather.

I've read Fools Die and The Sicilian, but I need to re-read them because I stopped reading them for long periods of time and forgot what had happened in-between.

I did love The Sicilian though.
