I'm gonna be an uncle...for the 2nd time! - 08/31/06 06:12 PM

My sister has just been scheduled for an emergency C-Section. My parents and my little sister have left to Suffolk, VA (where she and her husband live) to be at the hospital. It was decided that I stay here and take care of the house.

In about an hour or so...she'll be the mother of a beautiful baby boy.

I'll give more details as I get them. Please pray for my sister and the baby!

They're gonna name him Adrian Curtis (that's the latest they've chosen anyway). Curtis is after my dad...who's middle name is also Curtis (as is my middle name).

It's official! Adrian Curtis McIntyre has been born...weighing in at 5 lbs, 4 oz.

The birth weight is rather low...but the doctors have said that both mother and child are fine...the baby seems healthy.

DE NIRO...as for being babysitter...I'm used to it with my other nephew...but good Lord...now I have two!

I think I'll be having more than one drink!

That is a low weight,i was like 8lbs 10

Save today's newspaper, buy the USA Today, the current issues of Time, Sports Illustrated, People, TV Guide, etc. Check out the Billboard top songs, the #1 movie and put it in a sealed box for Adam, and give it to him when he's about 18 as a keepsake and slice of what the world was like on the day he was born.

It's funny you mention that kly. I haven't quite bought all those news publications you speak of...but I did go out and by the local news paper and Sports Illustrated. I did the same for my previous nephew. It'll be fun looking back on those memories years from now.

I'll probably do the same for my kids when the time comes.
