Really? I thought that one would be new considering its one of the best ones I've seen so far, as far as editing and professionalism.

Why, if you gave it zero stars?

Capo,

I missed your review of BBM. You didn't like it? I haven't seen it and don't know anyone who has seen it yet. You didn't like it?

TIS,
My résumé at the time of seeing it read thus: At times this looks like a ravishing epic. The same cannot be said, however, for the content; an exhaustively long film which, ultimately, makes a mountain out of a molehill. The problem is not in the subject matter or central relationship, but in the schematic way the narrative treats it.

In short, the opening third was deeply touching, and thereafter it was a repetitive spiral into a mumbling, sexually frustrated narrative which, the longer it went on, produced a kind of resentment of the two main characters, who I had liked early on.

Massive room for a brilliant film; but my faith in Ang Lee wanes evermore.

that's when real life and its frustrations entered Brokeback Mountain. The place where once happiness was perfect because it was secluded from real life.

I always enjoy messing with you, I'm not sure why.

As an exploration of loss and a memory of paradise never to be found again, I much prefer Malick's The New World, which I rated the best film of last year.
