This may have been posted at one time or another. Can't remember, but I received this e-mail today and think it's funny. Hope you do too.

Have you ever been guilty of looking at others your own age and thinking, "surely I can't look that old?"
Well... You'll love this one!

I was sitting in the waiting room for my first appointment with a new dentist. I noticed his DDS diploma, which bore his full name. Suddenly,I remembered a tall, handsome, dark-haired boy with the same name had been in my high school class some 40-odd years ago.

Could he be the same guy that I had a secret crush on, way back then?? Upon seeing him, however, I quickly discarded any such thought. This balding gray-haired man with the deeply lined face was way too old to have been nmy classmate. Hmmm,...or could he???

After he examined my teeth, I asked him if he had attended Morgan Park High School. "Yes, I did. I'm a Mustang," he gleamed with pride."When did you graduate?" I asked.

He answered, "in 1959. Why do you ask?" "You were in my class!" I exclaimed. He looked at me closely. Then, that ugly, old, wrinkled son-of-a-bitch asked, "what did you teach?

I laughed until it hurt.

This will make the rounds of every mailbox in the country.

Karl,

I cracked up too. I suppose most are here are too young to understand the full "drift", but it's kind of true. You always see yourself as not looking quite as old as someone else your age. I'm passing it around too.

Cute one, TIS.

Have you noticed that your doctors are retiring and being replaced by doctors younger than you? It's fairly depressing.

My mother, despite being diagnosed with ovarian cancer 30 years ago, is very proud of the fact that she has survived six OB/GYN's.

SB,

Tell me about it. A couple years ago at the school I work at, I started to tell this kid to leave the office and get to class, and I find out he's a student teacher. We both got a good laugh, but man, did I feel old.

Ha ha Good one PLaw. Can't say I browse the obituaries just yet. However, my grandmother who lived to be into her nineties, would say, when someone she knew passed away at, say 70 or 80, "he was young". Cute...you never think of yourself as old, at least when you are in pretty good health.

Just think, it won't be long before a BB convention for oldster consists of sitting on rocking chairs, reading the obituaries, and of course debating whether Fredo knew or not. :p

Good one TIS! Somebody put a Chicago spin on that story. Morgan Park High School is part of the Chicago Public Schools system and they are, in fact, the Morgan Park Mustangs.
