March 15th is the 33rd anniversary of the premiere of The Godfather, hence the theme of Saturday's show.

Look at it this way (and I'm being serious here). You know more about the GF than the average person.....way more. This is a topic you know inside out. There is no way you can screw up by any info you give. Trust me. Besides, even if you got, say a minor thing wrong, you'd only have to deal with us on the BB laughing at you, and your use to that.

I noticed since I came here that hardly anyone has the SAGA (the one that you can only catch when they air it once in 15 years or so on TV--it is 7 hours in total-- ONE HOUR of deleted scenes!!)
I'm not talking about the trilogy or the epic,im talking about the SAGA which has EVERY deleted scenes that you cant even find on the DVD,epic,trilogy or whatever.- there are dialogs from there that are missing from the transcripts you put on the website,so I figure that you dont own it yet and maybe theres stuff you want to know before going on air.
So if you have any questions about the SAGA,or if you want to prepare your answers about it,you can ask whatever you need to know and I'll be more than happy to help.

Just go to the site and click on the "listen now" (or whatever words they use to mean the same thing) link, and that should be it. If you do it a couple minutes before the show starts, then you should have no problem....

...at least not as many problems as *I* will have actually DOING it!

First JG – congrats on this, I see this a real positive acknowledgement to you and good luck with the interview tomorrow.

Secondly, DB – your earlier post (the pre release transcript) was one of the funniest posts I have read here in a long time.

And surprisingly that has reminded me of some PMs that JG and I had recently on this. In short JG mentioned how he has this recurring nightmare of the on air interview. It revolves around the call-in portion of the show. Rather than explain it I took the liberty of cutting and pasting some of our PMs (I hope JG doesn’t mind). I also hope DB doesn't mind me riding on his coattails some either.

Yeah, two hours! I was really nervous the first time I did it, even though it was a small coverage area. But, I knew I had a few stories I could tell.

Well, this time I'm sure I'll be less nervous cuz I've done it before, but, perhaps more nervous because anyone in the world can hear it now -- and, I already told my stories, so I have nothing else to say!

A few years back Geoff, TIS, my friend Lori and myself went on a bus tour of "The Sopranos" filming locations. The tour guide (to fill some dead time) asked the bus some questions about "The Godfather". There were 10 other people on the bus but we won almost all the questions (and small prizes).

That was fun, and I'm so glad many of you guys called in -- you were all terrif' on the phone lines! I'm not certain if Bob from NJ is a member here - is he? That'd make it 6! Tho I'm certain Popcorn Sherry is NOT a member here!

So you caught the part where I asked Bethie if she felt "crabby" about GF3?

As for Tif -- I mean TIS -- he kept telling me beforehand which caller was next, so after I suspected "Tif from Cally" was TIS, I told him to make sure. And when I heard it was "Joe from Staten Island" I asked him to see if it was "Don Cardi"

I tell ya, y'all talked and talked better than I did it was great! I only managed to stumble on a few words now and then, but I think it turned out pretty well.

Joel is going to send me a copy on CD for me to post online, along with a couple pictures we took together. I can't wait to hear how it really sounded.

I tell you, I was worried about trying to fill up 2 hrs, and there were so many things I wanted to mention but just couldn't! It could've gone on for 2 more hours!

Next week Joel's having Peter Biskind (The Godfather Companion) to talk about some other book he's written. I wonder if they'll mention The Companion...?

That was the standard bumper music for the show itself, which normally talks about all movies. That was done off-site in Newark (where the producer who took your calls was), while Joel and I (and local producer Don Timothy, who did the sound bites) were in the studio in Princeton. Amazing how that all works!

Geoff, you were wonderful! I missed about the first half because I was out helping in a school event (I didn't even think I'd make it back for any, so I was lucky!), and then (and now), I have my crazy baby cousin over who is tearing up the house, but I was surprisingly able to listen to a good amount.

From what I heard, you did absolutely perfect, mixing in good humor with serious discussion, and you definitely made us all proud! SC and DC, I missed your parts! I did, however, come in right when Beth was being introduced, and I got to hear Part and TIS! Beth, good job for showing popcorn lady who's boss. Part, I loved when you asked what The Godfather was...or what it was about...I think it caught Joel by surprise. TIS, you did wonderful, and you were a great representation of the board. All of you guys did great, and it was so fun to hear it! Geoff, it's time to get your own talk show, I think!

I don't think I was on hold any longer then 10 minutes. The guy on the line asked me my name and what my answer would be. I was tempted to call myself "Crabby". I heard the commercials and then the "popcorn" lady came on. I about died. I didn't think I was going to be any good when it was my time, I was laughing so hard. I found the radio station and had it all set. It came in clearly. However, when it was 1:00 (4:00 there) there was another show on. So I frantically tried to get it on-line. I missed the very beginning, but not the phone calls. I still don't know exactly what I did to get it, but it finally worked.

At this point I don't know of any scheduled guests ahead of time. I only know about today because he told me. Since I haven't been able to listen to the show until now, I really don't know his format -- especially since the show is new. I don't think he had too many guests before, so it may just be a rare thing. I don't know, for now we'll have to listen each week and see!
