DC,
I have seen Fist & Paradise Alley, but only one time, and remember liking them, but I really don't remember too much of the plot, since it's been so long ago.
I don't own the movieo and they are never on tv. I like them both as well. I also liked The Lords Of Flatbush, which seemed to be unoticed. That was the first Stallone movie I had seen and that too is never on tv.
TIS I have tried to find Paradise Alley on DVD, but it is not available yet. As for FIST, I have that on DVD. Do you own a DVD player TIS?
Lords Of Flatbush. Yes. SC and I discussed this movie over in another thread recently. Here is something that I wrote that may interest you :

A lot of actors came from that movie SC!
Perry King
Sylvestor Stallone
Susan Blakely
Dolph Sweet
Ray Sharkey
Henry Winkler
Armand Assante
I believe that Stallone was even a writer for the movie.
Do you know that story of how Lords Of Flatbush played a role in Stallone's success with Rocky?
After doing Lord's, Stallone was broke and unable to get any good roles. He had $100 left from making Lord's. So he used that money to buy a ticket to see a fight between Mohammad Ali & Chuck Wepner. Wepner was a down and out bartender from Bayonne, known as "The Bayonne Bleeder and Ali's people gave him a shot at the title. After seeing the fight and reading abour Wepner, Stallone came up with the idea of the Rocky character, which is loosley based on Wepner. He wrote the Rocky story but the major motion picture companies wanted another actor to play Rocky, and they wanted to buy the rights to the character from Stallone. He refused to compromise his character's story and insisted that he play the title role. The movie studios said no. So he went and got some small financial backing, went to the other actors (that eventually played in the movie) and made a deal with them that if the movie was a success, he would give them money based on what the movie made. They agreed! The big movie studios and bigwigs in hollywood all said that his Rocky movie would be a failure. The rest is history!
How would you like to have a failure like that one!
