Where are all the Protestors???

When Obama was president there were bs protests almost every damn week. Now that Trump is the new boss, you dont hear shit about protestors.

Thanks to social media the left is protesting every where. Unless they are running out of money to pay for it. Or the cold weather is keeping them inside.

I agree foots, the left is slowly killing free speech, simply by making up rules as it goes. At the moment, in some situations, I could be in trouble and potentially lose my career for being confused about someone who says they identify as non-gender...social media is to blame for that, not me. We are at the start of a new way of thinking about free speech. Social media at this moment in time has become the main forum for us all being able to get our opinions and feelings out there to millions of people in a heartbeat - something we've never been able to come close to before. We're in our infancy with this and what most concerns me is the fact the nobody wants to hear a balanced view, simply because it's "boring" and doesn't get clicks or whatever the fuck makes you popular. Social media, unintentionally, I think, drives people towards one way or another. When you type out an opinion, I think it's far more difficult to change that thought as opposed to having said something in conversation.

With Trump in office, these protests have reduced markedly. Obama created an environment for protestors, Trump has definitely dampened that movement.

But, before anybody starts, not through some Nazi way of curtailing protests..just simply because he's being straightforward. He's not racist or masoginist. He's probably not the best person to be leading the country but it is refreshing to hear somebody in power speak without a fake political filter

Hey Ferg, I asked in your other thread if you've ever been to the U.S and if so, what parts. However, you must have missed it. I would like to know the answer since you're a foreigner and may see things from a different perspective. But if you don't want to share I understand.

I'm missed it man, all round Miami, LA, Florida, New York, Boston, Washington and once in Houston...doing more of the south I think this year

My son is on social media. I am not any way he just mentioned that he voted for trump. More then half of the people at least took him off their Facebook list.

My oldest son is one of the best people I know. He is by far a better person then I am. A lot of people felt that way until they heard who he voted for. When he told me that I said two words Fuck Them. But it still bothered him.

I have few friends most of my friends were people I knew when I was a kid. Most are dead now. That’s what happens when you get old. Plus I don’t look at Death the way most people do any way. My soccer people are just acquaintances not friends.

My wife has a lot of friends. That she has some from grammar school, high school and her business life. She has a ton of friends. Some people have a lot of friends. I never had that
