Classic commercial Belmont!
"Hey Jerry- What's the story?
The story is you come to JGE with the exact make and model number of the unit you want to buy. you show us your union card at the door, and you're in, because JGE is not open to the general public. only to union members and their families.
So that's the story, Jerry?
That's the sto-reeeee!"

Not really. "Jerry" was similar to Crazy Eddie .... he sold electronics and appliances at low prices. The business went under and he later opened a disco (and that was the commercial to which you linked).
It was all a ripoff of a line that Richard Castellano ("Clemenza") kept repeating in a hilarious movie from the '70s called "Lovers and Other Strangers". THe movie is dated now but if you get a chance to see it you really should. Castellano was HILARIOUS!!
