Frank, the way it is with the Iranian Rial, our largest traveler's check now is slightly more than £10, so that has to be a really large envelope to worth his while.

Perhaps this question is appropriate in this thread: where have some of our stalwart members gone? It's been quite a while since Afs has posted, but much longer since Apple, Whisper, Beth E, or Ronnie have posted. I log onto the Board a few days a week, but I don't recall seeing any of their posts lately. Maybe I missed them.

I often think the same thing Oli, theres alot of regulars on here who has vanished without a trace..

Honestly, and sadly, forums like this are practically dinosaurs at this point. Even I haven't been that active here, and for no real reason.

I guess it's like a pothead getting addicted to heroin: He still loves his pot, but the heroin took over!

True. Among some of you others here I'm friends with afs and blibble on facebook.

Instead of the pot analogy, I might use an Iraqi metaphor. Perhaps after the invading, marauding militants arrived, they dropped their guns and ran.

FAME used to be another nice member. I sometimes wonder what happened to him as he used to start some good threads.
