I'm gonna think that since we know you're a lawyer, we'll assume #1 is true. But I'm gonna play devil's advocate and say you've never done business with Lenny Kravitz.

#1 is true. I represented the insurance company that provided workers' comp coverage for a production company owned by Kravitz. There was an injury to a close friend and employee of his in State College, and Kravitz provide a brief deposition.

#2 happened because I stepped on a piece of thin ice that hadn't frozen completely after being cut out for ice fishing. I dropped in and popped up through the same hole. I held on until a boy scout rescued me. He earned a badge for it.

#3 is true. Driving over tall bridges, I can't really look from side to side.

# 5 surprised me. I have to leave the eastern seaboard for a while.

Your rescuer's name wasn't George Bailey was it?

Okay, I did make it hard. It's actually number 5!! I've never been busted with weed at the Airport.

Now. the shotgun thing.

Years ago (i was probably 17), my friend was at the local mall with some girl, when some guys came up to him and started trying to pick a fight with him. He found out it was because of the girl he was with. Apparently she was cheating on some dude with my friend etc blah blah. So he runs off and called me up. Now, he was very shaken and he's a timid lad, so I got very angry that a group of guys approached him the way they did. So, I got the girls number from my friend and called her up demanding she give me the number to her boyfriend. She did and I called him up and started doing the tough guy phone shit. We agreed to settle the score at my local train station. I told him to bring boys, he told me to bring boys. So I gathered up some pals and we got an assortment of weapons (Trolley polls, Bike chains etc) and headed down to the Train station. We're there for about 5 mins when this guy calls me and says "we'll be there in two mins to kill you". I'm like "whatever man, bring it" (please keep in mind, I was a little shit and a complete idiot in my teenage days, I'm in no way proud)

So shortly after, a Black BMW pulls up in the car park, about 50 meters away from us and 5 guys hop out. Now they're mostly in their thirties with some older guy about fifty. I had about 6 guys with me. I ran at them like a crazy Indian waving my trolley poll and the first guy just brushes me aside with a swift back hand. I fall to the ground and he reveals a sawn- off shotgun. He points it at my head and tells me to get ready to die. At this same moment , my friends come running up and another one of these guys pulls out a revolver and aims it at my friends and tells them not to move. They had no choice, But to do as they were told. Now the guy with the shotgun asks me If I was the guy on the phone. Now, I didn't wanna die, so I lied and said that the guy on the phone was coming later. He doesn't believe and he gives me a little hit in the temple with the gun. I get back on my knees and at this point a couple of my friends were in tears and crying out stuff like "don't kill him, please etc" which is just making me more scared. He tells me to get up and walk into the park across the road from the station. I think about running, But my friends still have the revolver pointed at them and I thought they may get shot If I attempt to run. We reach the middle of the park, It's basically pitch black and at this point, I swear I had a mini heart attack as I felt my chest explode and I went dizzy etc. He orders me on my knees again and I start praying in my mind. Now, I kept a straight face as much as I could (because I'm a proud idiot) and he cocks back the gun and I can hear that it was loaded, But I also noticed, the bolt action was old and really shit looking (if that makes sense).
The guy with the revolver actually says" Yo, Chris, we're not really going to do this are we"? Then Shotgun Chris replies" Only this one".

He pulls the trigger and some fizz noise happened and it didn't go off. I reacted naturally by curling up in a ball and rolling backwards haha.
(This is all 100% true, look up the court stuff on the net if you don't believe me)

Now, when at the station, Some guy had witnessed the situation and called the cops. So literally, 30 seconds after the shotgun "fizzed" cop cars starting pulling up into the park entrance. The gun toting idiots took off and to cut a long story short, were caught, prosecuted and ShotGun Chris got 9 years~!!!!!!

I didn't wanna testify, But the courts forced me to.

1. My mom had a dog she donated to the police K9 unit.
2. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother.

4. As a young child a won a trophy in camp for "Most improved Swimmer", which my mom threw at her boyfriend and broke.
5. I know someone who is 1 of 11 children.

1.We don't have 70mph limits in PA, but I know they are prevalent in the midwest, and 82 is about the speed, for which I think the police would pull someone over.

2. This is the type of option that you wouldn't normally create as the lie. I could think of several reasons for leaving a car at work over the weekend.

3. The igloo shape seem to specific to be the lie. I think I have seen these.

I was tempted by #4. It was the only sentence not ending in a period, which might be a subonscious indicator of an untruth. However, I see you as a guy who multitasks amid a myriad of distractions, like an old time plate spinner, so I thought this was plausible.

1. I was part of a legal team on an appeal that argued a case before the U.S. Supreme Court eight years ago.

3. I had a case that involved a woman working in a youth detention facility, who practiced witchcraft.
4. I represented a Jehovah's Witness family, seeking to halt a medical procedure on their son because it involved a blood transfusion.
5. I had to get a court order to allow my imprisoned, male transvestite client to be allowed to wear his dress, high heels, wig and makeup in court.

Man, all sound like plausible cases. I'm gonna go with #2.

Sorry, it's not #2. I had a case where there was a drive-by shooting where the victim was a cousin of running back Ricky Watters.

Unfortunately, I've never seen Law and Order, and my criminal defense days are behind me. The character that would now best describe me would be one who's kind of bored.

This actually happened. I was appointed to represent the family the day of the hearing by a judge, with whom I had once worked. This was interesting, but I knew that the judge had already made up his mind to compel the treatment, and just wanted the family to have a lawyer at the proceeding.

The answer is number 1. I've never been before the US Supreme Court.

When I was younger, I would have loved it. I argued before the PA Supreme Court, but I never think about arguing before the Supreme Court. Anyway, my area of practice doesn't deal with many Constitutional or federal issues.

If you're not a criminal defense lawyer what sorts of cases do you try now?

I represent employers and a national insurance company in defending against workers' compensation cases. Nothing thrilling.

I'd be happy if he brought me a case of Coors.

#1 is the lie. I recall you having a pretty impressive technical education, and I think you must be especially skilled in math (althiugh your use of "etc." in that option is giving me pause. The untrue option is usually limited in its scope, so as not to encompass a possible situation that may be true.). I was also tempted by #2 as I'm finding out that more and more adults do not know how to swim. This is a skill usually learned as a child, and if you did not have the opportunity to swim, maybe you can't swim now.

#3, #4 and #5 kind of go together. A guy, who can play a violin would be more inclined to attend a concert where a Mozart/Beethoven piano would be played, and I would guess that such a concert took place on the European mainland. Therefore as you were born in India, currently live in the U.S., and seemingly have been to europe, Iwould assume you've been to at least 5 countries.

Kly, good reasoning! I am good at mathematics, except for mental computation. Fortunately all of the engineering math does not invovle stuff like having to mentally compute the product of two 2-digit numbers I can swim a bit, like a dog, head above water, breathing nicely and getting terribly sore in my arms . Those 5 (actually 6) countries include overnight hotel stays at airports and stuff, not real touring - London - UK, Frankfurt - Germany, Bahrain, Nepal (technically went one mile into the border), USA and India. I recently attended a Piano Concert where they specially brought in a FortePiano, a type which was used in 18th and 19th century.

1. $1700 (or more depending...) to fix my [BadWord] of a car.

You've got my number, you're banned from guessing!

My 2nd guitar was an acoustic Washburn. My first one was some cheapo no-name brand with incredibly high action I got for $40 (well worth it, hard to play but my determination got me sore fingers which turned into calloused fingers and now I don't play guitar nearly enough but I still have all the chords memorized and can hit them with ease. I think if it was easier to play on I might not have it so embedded into my brain.

I spent $400 on my Washburn and it is my favorite. The only one that didn't get stolen with the rest a few years ago. Here's a nice huge pic of me with it

I bought an acoustic First Act (Wal-mart brand) guitar for $10 from a friend of my wife about a month ago. It's brand new, hardly played at all and $10 is a steal for any P.O.S. guitar. The low end models have come a long way in recent years. It is still no where near the quality in playability, sound, or looks as my other one but I'd hope not.

Haha, I have three consecutive hits now.

Bicycles are common, but I never owned one for some reason. I remember having a tricycle as a toddler #2 is true, I competed with a bunch of kids, more untalented than me, when I was perhaps 9 or 10 years of age This was a competition at school. #5 is the lie, as you guessed rightly, in the detail. You probably spoke before the State Legislature about funding for a charity. The police escort seems a bit odd for a civilian to make a presentation to a governor, but maybe protocol in Missouri is different. Obama spent a lot of time in Missouri and it was and remains a close state, so I think you would have made a couple of rallies, and this was early in the campaign so I think the response could have surprised you. The wives of candidates can be a bit overly friendly, so I'll say the flirty wife story is true. It's between 2 and 5. #5 was the lie last time, so I think it's #2.

Hey, only those who guess it correctly should add new polls. The way it is now, it is too confusing.

OK Here goes and I am going to have my assistant look at this before I post so that it is correct THE FIRST TIME!

1. Truth -- I spoke at the State Capital to a joint session (State Senators and Representatives) when I was 17 (speaking about the Boy Scouts of America)

2. Truth -- When I was 17 I was the official youth spokesperson for the Boy Scouts in St. Louis. each year, they did a "Report to the Governor" program. It was pretty cool -- a state highway patrol officer picked me up at my house and then escorted me to Jeffereson City, the State Capital to the Governors office to make the report and then the Governors Mansion for lunch.

3. Truth -- I was at the VFW Convention last year when it was in KC last year and Obama spoke. As you can imagine with this crowd he was heckled and booed. I also went last month when he spoke at the Truman Presidential Museum and Library. The auditorium holds about 1,000 people and there were about 200 empty seats so it was quiet as a mouse in there. Like most events if you have 1,000 seats you typically give out 1500-2500 tickets to insure a full and packed house (ever try going to a movie sneak preview and have to arrive 3 hours early to stand in line!) They distributed 2500 tickets but still only 800 showed up. I would have been pissed if I was the campaign advance team as that made more coverage (locally) than his speach he was giving.

4. Truth -- sadly but true. I have to attend fundraisers for both parties (have to get all parties on my side). Representative X's wife made some comments that were rather suggestive and I hope she was innocently flirting. She did have a bit too much to drink

#2 and #3 just sound too true. I believe #5 that you never travelled in a ship. The only people, who have sailed in ships, are merchant marines, naval personnel or tourists on cruises, and I don't think you fall within those categories.
Malaria and typhoid are more common in India than here, but this suspiciously looks as though it's a trap. Even so, I will find it to be true as I get a strong sense that you prefer wine to beer. Thus, #4 is the lie.

#5 His name was Charles Murphy, sometimes known as Corky Murphy, and he had roles on Barney Miller and a host of other shows. He was a regular on a sit-com called "Doc," that was part of the CBS Saturday Night lineup with Mary Tyler Moore Show and Newhart. He was good friends with Robin Williams, Jackie Gleason. He died a couple of years ago.
