OJ a suspect in casino theft - 09/14/07 04:53 PM

I don't think this is what the judge from the civil case had in mind when ordering OJ to pay the Goldman and Brown families:

O.J. Simpson named suspect in Vegas incident

Should we get ready for another slow-speed network TV car chase?

When will this guy just go away and stay out of the spotlight? Then again, maybe he's looking ahead for "If I Did It Part II." \:p

Fred Goldman is absolutely correct when he says that O.J. Simpson has been walking around sticking his middle finger up at the world ever since he was acquitted.

Someone should have put two in the back of this scumbag's head.

Re: OJ a suspect in casino theft - 09/14/07 06:27 PM

Just in case you thought he couldn't be any dumber, he does this. He was conducting a "sting operation"?

LAS VEGAS - Investigators questioned O.J. Simpson and named him a suspect Friday in a confrontation at a casino hotel room involving sports memorabilia, but the actor and former football star denied breaking into the room.
Simpson told The Associated Press he went to the room to get memorabilia that belonged to him.
Simpson said he was conducting a "sting operation" to collect his belongings when he was escorted into the room at the Palace Station casino. Police said he was a suspect in a break-in at the hotel.

It took O.J. Simpson to get Capo back on the boards!

I read a story in either the NY Times or Washington Post that brought a smile to my face. When the Goldman's won the right to control the new OJ book, "If I Did It," they did something really great: the word "if" is in very, very small righting, so if the book is away from the reader at a short distance, it looks like it reads "I Did It."

I also heard a great story from last year's Super Bowl in Miami, where OJ lives. He walked into a restaurant with a group of people. While OJ was not doing anything wrong at the time, the owner came up to OJ's table and informed Simpson that he would not be served.

I heard that, but I think it was a restaurant in Louisville when he was there for the Kentucky Derby. The owner asked him to leave and he quietly left.

As Johnny Cash Would Say!
(Lyrics By Johnny Cash)

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down

Well my goodness gracious let me tell you the news
My head's been wet with the midnight dew
I've been down on bended knee talkin' to the man from Galilee
He spoke to me in the voice so sweet
I thought I heard the shuffle of the angel's feet
He called my name and my heart stood still
When he said, "John go do My will!"

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down
Tell 'em that God's gonna cut 'em down

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Well you may throw your rock and hide your hand
Workin' in the dark against your fellow man
But as sure as God made black and white
What's down in the dark will be brought to the light

You can run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Run on for a long time
Sooner or later God'll cut you down
Sooner or later God'll cut you down

Go tell that long tongue liar
Go and tell that midnight rider
Tell the rambler, the gambler, the back biter

1st - O.J. should be worried about trying to flaunt his celebrity now and especially when he faces his final judgement.
2nd - he will definitely see that GOD is not impressed by his celebrity.
3rd - its not just atheist's that go to hell.
4th - just like most everybody else, he probably feels that he is going to keep skirting the law because he got away with murder - pardon the pun, because of that celebrity.

Because some Christians are alarmingly quick to condemn people to This place or That place; and I resent such fascist tendencies.

(And beliefs are there to be questioned and mocked when they're projected so overtly into your face, onto your being; you've got to wash it off with a scoldingly hot shower.)

I prefer your conclusion, Mike: "Fuck OJ". Not because of who he is, but because of who he isn't. Why is this guy getting the attention that he is?

Good to see you're still alive and well, by the way.

Beliefs can certainly be questioned, but why should they be mocked?
I can't stand people who swear they are for free speech, but that's only true as long as everyone speaks the same language. If they supported freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc., they would allow people to say and believe what they want.

As for OJ, he is just an increasingly bizarre being, ever since his trial. If he does go for trial, how much you want to bet he'll claim that he can't get an unbiased jury, due to his notoriety since his FIRST trial.

I think that would be a valid point. Looking at the responses till now, we can safely assume that most people think that he got away with murder and needs to pay for his crimes. How many people would be objective enough to de-link the murder case with the memorabilia theft?
