I'm originally from Pittsburgh, but have been in Texas for decades.

I was born/raised in Michigan, but have lived in California for 26 yrs.

I was born in Lorain, Ohio but grew up in Elyria ohio. I lived in South Carolina, Florida, Virginia, West Virginia and now I am back in Ohio.

Geez Mig, you sure travel a lot. What's your preference of all the places you've lived?

That's what happens TIS when you are married to a sailor I wished they would have sent us over seas. Out of all of them I liked VA the best. When Col. Slade retires (again) we are going to move back there. We still have our house there.

The thread title should be "Whence You Came?"...whence means "from where"...at least on this side of the Atlantic!

Long Island (West Hempstead) and Brooklyn (primarily). Briefly lived in Syracuse many years ago. Spent my summers in the 1960s in a slightly worn area of Florida now known as South Beach.

As far as the title of this thread, let's just be glad it's not called ...And the Horse You Rode In On.

50 years in Brooklyn and then out onto Long Island.

45 of those Brooklyn years were in the Sheepshead Bay section; the Mob's burial ground; the home of Carlo Gambino; where Johnny Sac ("The Sopranos") had his wire room that was blown up by Tony's crew; and the setting for Al Pacino's "Glengarry Glen Ross".

No need to brag about it, y'know.

I don't know if there is any way to tell, but I suspect that most members are from the NY/NJ area, but I'll bet the UK comes in second. What do ya think?

Born in NY moved to Fla when I was 11, have lived in Fla ever since.

I'm from Weirton, WV.. close to Pittsburgh. Now I live in Morgantown, and I visit Elkins, WV a lot.

I've never been there, but I do have a friend that lives in Grand Rapids.



It's in the Metro Detroit area, very close to Mount Clemens (if you know where that is).

Ahhh! I do know. I have many relatives in the Detroit area, and I believe one of my cousins lives (or use to) in Mt. Clemens.

Haven't been to Detroit in long long time, but as a kid I'd spend a couple weeks their visiting my cousin who lived, at the time, in Royal Oak.
