Theme tunes - 05/13/02 05:42 PM

If you were to have a theme tune for any of the characters in the book who would it be and which song?

For instance, I would pick:

Michael - Rolling stones - Play with fire. Because it's cool, calm and relaxing, but the lyrics send out a scary warning much like Michael.

That wasn't very well explained but you get the jist don't you?

Good post, La Signora di Fucile! I'm an old hippie, so most of mine would be rock tunes:

Vito: Bad Company (by Bad Co.)
Luca: Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (AC/DC)
Sonny: Them Bones (Alice in Chains)
Connie: Janie's Got a Gun (Aerosmith)
Kay: Miss Misery (Nazareth)
Fredo: Simple Man (Lynyrd Skynyrd)
Clemenza: Stranglehold (Ted Nugent)
Tessio: Nowhere Man (The Beatles)
Sollozo: Runnin' with the Devil (Van Halen)
Lucy Mancini: Any Way You Want It (Journey)
Michael: 21st Century Schizoid Man (King Crimson)

Yeah, I really wanted to put Michael as 'Paint it black', it suits him sooo well, but I just thought maybe people would think I was thinking of Pacino in 'Devils Advocaat', everyone's put so many things, I have to think how to answer my own question now!

I think the ultimate Michael song would be Tina Turner's "What's Love Got to Do With It?"

Consider love had nothing to do with whacking his own brother, making his nephew fatherless & his sister a widow, and slapping Kay around....

Well, if we're going to consider 'What's Love Got To Do With It', then the theme should go first to Fredo, who after all, set up his brother, the head of the family, just because there 'might be something in it' for him, on his own.

No, he didn't realize it would be an attempted hit, but he set up his brother, just the same.

I think you mean AC/DC who did "Big Balls"; however, Aerosmith did do "Big Ten Inch" would be perfect for Sonny grin

Some others could be:

Fredo: Renegade by Styx

Vito: I did it my way by Sinatra

Michael and Kay I have 3 possibilities:

Head Games by Foreigner
Lay it on the Line by Triumph
What's on my Mind by Kansas

Tom: I must let the show go on by Three Dog Night

Willi Cicci: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

By the way, great picks by Snake, very tough act to follow!
