yep, 2bad i dont have the deluxe set, i only have the 20th anniversary edition.. the 1932 version was about Al Capone but they didnt have right to use the name so they changed it.. plus the real Capone didnt die that way at the end of the movie..

Yes, but not up to par with other films of the 30's such as The Public Enemy with Cagney, though good nonetheless.

"You fucken wid me jou fucken wid di best"and
"Jou gonna need a fucken army to take me"(even tho they do have an army)

Yeah I own it as well, I also bought the deluxe box set. The 1932 version is ok, but the 1983 version is a lot better.

The 1932 version is more important and influential, and probably better, but I have the 1983 version burned into my mind, so there's no way I can view it without any prejudice.
As with Double J, I prefer Cagney's "The Public Enemy" more than "Scarface" or even "Little Caesar."

The 1932 version's ending is much more realistic than the bloodbath of the 1983 version.

Both movies are excellent for their times. I can't say one is better than the other because they are both great films.
The original version explores the crime life of the 1930's with great detail, just as the remake does the same with the 1980's drug scene in Miami.

I haven't seen it because I never got around to buying the box set. I've been planning on picking it up off of Amazon for a while, but I haven't got around to it yet
