Don\'t mess with Pacino!

Most of all I liked this: "Al Pacino was born in the Bronx and makes his living as an actor. This inability to distinguish fantasy from reality in an elected official, responsible for the welfare of thousands of people, is most disturbing."

And BTW, Pacino Worldwide is really a very good site.

I get so sick of these morons blaming "today's youth violence" on everything from movies to video games to global warming! Most of the time, you'll check and see that the whole reason for their crimes is that there's no father-figure around (or a lousy one even if he is around), or an upbringing that excludes any kind of supervision or direction. It all starts in the home. Get a clue, folks!

This is UNBELIEVABLE!!!! [/b][/quote]Yes it is, both pages of it. I just wonder - who are the parents to show Scarface to such unmature youths with no power of judgment. Or do they really see nothing else about life?

You know, I just thought... If I would base my knowledge of life on Scarface only, I mean, without any other source to form my opinions, I possibly would be much more successful by now!

You suggest I should change it not to be looked on as a public enemy?
I think it will not fool anyone...

You know, its one thing to attack a recent popular movie or video games(i.e. Hillary Dog Clinton attacking SAN ANDREAS) but to blame the nation's violent youth on what?

A 22 year old movie, tacky 80's art deco and all.

I don't know whatever to laugh or be scared that such logic is popular.

Re: Fans defend Al Pacino - 01/26/06 09:11 PM

I'm all for using judgment when monitoring what children watch, wear and do, but this is a parent's job no? I never realized until I joined this site, just how much Scarface was loved, especially by the younger generation. However, I think it is fair and safe to assume that the vast majority of these young people know this is only a movie.

To be clear, I wouldn't take a young child to see a movie like SF or even the GF, or slasher movies, etc., until I though he/she was "ready" to see it. But, that is a parent's responsbility, and sometimes I really think that it's easier for some parents to blame movies, music, trends, etc on everything and everyone else instead of monitoring your child.

Btw, did anyone see "The Insider" yesterday with the very brief shot of Pacino and little Anton on his shoulders, walking down Hollywood Blvd. yesterday? It was so quick that I only caught a blink. Couldn't see if Anton (who they say is five now )had his dad's beautiful eyes.

This shit pisses me off. The violence doesn't come from the media, or watching violent movies. The violence comes from the negligence of those who are questioning. Those placing the blame on the media so they won't have to take it themselves. If I watch Scarface, it doesn't make me want to get messed up on coke and go rob a convenience store. If you reach that point, then chances are, you have more shit on your plate than a few R-rated movies. If anything encourages violence, I think it would be watching the president speak.

Wow, Tis, how did they look? You are so, so fortunate! The latest pic I saw in local hello magazine was only Olivia, and I was surprised that she has such fair hair. I think that Julie has darker, but I don't know how her mother, Jan Tarrant, looks.

Yes, people need to start taking responsibility for their own actions. And parents need to be more responsible too.

What a thing to blame violence on, a movie that came out twenty-some years ago. It's kind of embarassing that this woman is from Michigan, as if we don't have enough politicians to be embarrassed of.

Continuing talking to TIS -

This is the latest image of Al with twins that I found. They are three years old here.

How cute. Can't see there faces . Looks like they have the fairer coloring, like their mother though. Can't believe they are so big already. Seems like they were just born. Thanks for posting JM.

So, when you saw the glimpse of 5-year-old Anton, did he look much bigger?

Re: Fans defend Al Pacino - 01/28/06 06:10 PM

JM,

Unfortunately, it was one of the "flash in the pan" clips. I heard them say Pacino was walking down Hollywood Blvd. with son Anton, and turned my head and automatically glanced at Al first :p and only got a quick glimpse of Anton. He looked about the same as the picture I guess. Al had him on top of his shoulders. Was a cute, although very quick glimpse. Pacino looked sort of "frumpy" :p in his lovable sort of way. IMHO he can get away with frump.

Well, the way he looks and dresses sometimes is a separate song. It's the disadvantage of being an old bachelor!

TIS -
the best I can recommend is this one.
There are several images. Not so close, but it's evident that Anton's eyes are big and dark!

I guess, This is it?
Unfortunately - no photo...

29 January 2006
I'LL BE AL RIGHT WHEN I CAN SEE
IT looks like blind devotion as Godfather star Al Pacino carries son Anton down Sunset Boulevard.

The movie legend, 65, struggled to walk in a straight line as four-year-old Anton put his hands over dad's eyes and knocked off his designer shades. Al - who famously played a blind war veteran in Scent of a Woman - enjoys access visits to Anton and twin sister Olivia.

The children are from his marriage to actress Beverly D'Angelo.
