College FB moving to a 4 team playoff

Sorry, but this doesn't do it for me. Every year it's going to be something like...

#1 Alabama vs #4 Ohio State
#2 Florida vs #3 USC

So what really changes?

These four states are still number one in this criteria.

It's still the BCS system, just repackaged. A glorified +1. And I've been convinced for some time now that nothing short of the Justice Department can change it.

This doesnt make sense as all you guys said, They should do a regional as in the #1 teams from all the conferences(which is 11) and one wild card to make it a 12-team playoff system one game elimination style, only way to do it, no home field advantages neutral field sites--can still be bowl games, but if "team-1" beats "team-2" in the "XYZ" bowl they move on to play the winner of the "ZYX" bowl and so on and so forth untill the 2 teams left standing compete for the BCS Championship..

The Division 1 AA (FCS) has a 16 game playoff. I've followed it for a few years. The games are good. The players are good, they are just a little smaller and little slower. I'm a Villanova fan and they won it a few years ago. The teams are seeded and most of the games are competitive. The FBS should expand. Four is a joke like Ivy illustrates. Where is Boise State? It's all about the money, the money and then the money. With four teams they can pretty much control the participants. Make it eight and it would be a lot more interesting.

This year seems like the perfect fit for an 8 team playoff.

I think they should put all the Div I teams in a hat and pull them out. Each pull is a different conference.

This is turning into a joke. The Conference people have mad a travesty, a farce out of Conference athletics in college. I was becoming disillusioned by Pro Sports, now it as spilled over into college sports.
