One hour following the announcement of the tournament match-ups on Sunday, March 15th, 2009 (March 16 for Womens), you will have the opportunity to select who you think will win each of the 63 tournament games. Entrants may change their selections as often as they like prior to the scheduled tipoff-time of the Tournament (currently scheduled for the morning of Thursday, March 19, 2009, March 21 for Womens) after which all selections must be finalized.

I have just joined up my team name is Sooners, I was debating if I wanted to join or not. I mainly joined because I hated the fact that I finished dead last in the mens field last year.

You do not have to worry about that this year seeing as dead last will have my name written over it already

Wake Forest...

I made it out of the first round in first place of a very large office pool with 67 people in it. I'm having my doubts about UNC winning it all though. Ty Lawson doesn't look like he'll be playing, or playing at anything close to 100%. I don't think they can win it all without him.

I'm screwed if UCLA doesn't go far, but otherwise I'm mediocre (as usual). I also have UNC taking it all.

I took a chance and had Wake going to the final four. I thought it would be fun to pick one that not too many others have going that far. I didn't think they would go out in the first round though.



How much is the pool worth? I have UNC finishing second in my bracket.

Well so far all of my final 4 teams are safe. Although in the womens bracket I lost Texas from the final 4.

In the pool at my place of work a co-worker of mine took Wake Forrest winning it all in the mens bracket.

I'm not sure exactly how much 1st place is, but it's well over $1,000. Right now, I'm rolling. But it's still very early. All my
teams in the Sweet 16 are alive.

so far my elite eight, and final four are doing good...really though i am now worried about duke after that near finish with texas.

I just found out that there are over 80 people in my pool, and the total pot is over $2,000.

I think the tournament is further establishing the Big East as the deepest, most powerful basketball conference. The ACC and Big 12 are a couple rungs lower on the ladder.

My sentiments exactly. I had posted earlier in another thread that before the tournament started, this was the one game that I was dying to see. I said it would be a dog fight, and it exceded my expectations. When the game started, I wasn't sure whom I was rooting for, but I began pulling for Pitt. I love the way DeJuan Blair plays.

I'll certainly be rooting for the Wildcats to cut down the nets next Monday.

I was reminded of a Villanova-St. John's game I went to at the Spectrum about 25 years ago (before the three-point line) where St. John's had a one point lead with about 6 seconds left in overtime and Chris Mullin shooting a one and one . He missed the front end, Nova rebounded and John Pinone hit a jump shot at the buzzer to win the game as the arena went nuts. I unfortunately was a St. John's fan then. It was shocking as Mullin was one of the best foul shooters in the game.

I'm fighting for 2nd now in my pool. Memphis killed me. I'm far ahead in correct picks, but 2nd in total points.

Well, only oner of my Final Four picks made it: NC.

I'm rooting for a Villanova/UConn final with the Cats beating the Dogs.

I only have one of the final four - Villanova and that was a sentimental pick. I really suck at gambling and picking. It's my trademark.

2 of my final 4 teams made it, in the tournament at my place of work I picked all final 4 teams correct. Through this if North Carolina beats Michigan State I may win. But yet if that happens it could kill me at work, as in that bracket I have North Carolina beating Connecticut.

At least I'm doing fairly well with the Women's tournament. I have no knowledge of them whatsoever other than that I'm, kinda, rooting for the local team Stanford.

I could be wrong, but I think I have the Women's Tournament all wrapped up.
