Anybody have an opinion on how they think AJ turns out? Does he go into the life?

I don't see AJ as having much of a future in general, let alone in the "Family business". Assuming Tony didn't get killed,he would keep AJ away from the rackets and try his best to set him up in a more legit enterprise than making porno with little Carmine.

If Tony did get killed, then no question about it,AJ is done. Assuming that the Lupertazzi's would be the only ones who would have a reason to kill Tony, AJ would probably break off with Little Carmine, swear revenge,(as effectively as he did with uncle Junior),and cause a lot of problems in general until Carmella sells the house and takes him to California to live with Meadow.

AJ is almost as stupid as Fredo, but at least he's capable of getting some hot girlfriends. His best move is to get a Civil Service job and live in Meadow's basement.

I think the guy who played AJ gets a bad rap.

I think he did a pretty good job with the character.

AJ had the makings of a varsity athlete.

This young man may have a big future ahead of him.

He may be a leader and that's what it takes.

And that's why i'm naming him defensive captain.

Well, he works for Carmine's porn production company at series end, which makes him somewhat connected. I think Tony always considered what usefulness AJ could provide on the vice end, particularly night clubs, promotion, etc. That all seemed to be right up AJ's alley when he wasn't dealing with some kind of depression issues. AJ would never be made after his suicide attempt, but I have to imagine if he stays with Carmine he'd be working around the life in some capacity, assuming Tony doesn't get clipped at the diner, in which case I think Tony's whole immediate family flees Jersey for good.

AJ hopefully didn't follow his father. look when he tried to kill junior and junior yells that is not my knife. AJ's rational is he watched the original godfather movie. tony even mentions it is just a movie. tony mentioned to dr melfi his kid could never make it in his business and he is correct.

AJ dropping Rocco Lampone's "difficult, but not impossible" to Chrissy when he says they won't be able to get to Junior was just great. AJ was right, too. Just turned out he was the wrong man for the job.

I hated his character with a passion. He came off as a spoiled white brat opposed to the son of a mafia don.
