Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 03:04 AM

Another good one. What do you think Carmella was doing at the end of the episode? The note said that she was at some hotel, but they kept flipping back and forth between Furio and Tony, implying that she might be going over to his place. She might also really be at a hotel maybe with Rosalie Aprile just doing some girl stuff to keep her mind off of Furio.

AJ is still lame. Why does Carm take him to Furio's all the time? Is it for safety, so she won't start boning down on the Italian sausage?

slow real slow tonight....Chris the dog killer was a good point, and getting jacked was I guess another, then getting his ass kicked when they are going to help him is kind of funny....

Paulie and the picture has its moments...

Tony is doing anything he can get his belly into....One leg Russia whore is something else....lots of room for him...

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 03:07 AM

T'ain't good, all the way around: Carm & Furio, Christopher dryin' out (maybe, and if not, it's curtains, courtesy of Patsy), Tony's under suspicion for Ralphie and he's thumbing his nose at New York, Junior's got his legal troubles, and who knows what Adriana might do?? I cracked up with Paulie and that painting! Hilarious! And I knew the intervention thing was a really, really bad idea. I was a little surprised at Christopher gettin' slapped around by his crew, though. Great show, comrades! Only three episodes left...makes me sad just thinkin' about it.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 03:08 AM

A tremendous episode in terms of plot development but not too much action other than the intervention and Chris getting mugged. I was looking forward to a scene where Tony had some hoods fuck up the drug dealers but no such luck. It seems like Carmela and Furio are torturing themselves and it will be interesting to see what happens in that regard. Overall, this episode did not carry the momentum of the last three but it was still ok.

I would of used that leg for some action in both ends.Good show today, the whole Christopher getting everyone back was great, especially towards his mother.

Like mini-Pesci,too.

nah, you need naked women to make the show great!

Mob..what would you do with that leg?

what gets you is that they are already started the big build up for the years end...

Paulie and the painting.
Paulie and his plastic seat covers.
"4 in the side." "1 in your ass."

....Please don't let anything happen to Paulie!

There were some riotous lines in this episode: Tony wishing for "Rev. Rodney King Jr."; Paulie telling Dominick the intervention counselor, "don't forget 'scumbag'"; Chris asking the same guy, "Ain't you the one who broke into Stew Leonards and stole all the pork loins?", plus the picture(s) of Tony. The intervention scene in total was one of the funniest ever.

I thought it was hilarious when it showed the two guys kicking the shit out of Christopher on the ground at his intervention...after all, it was supposed to be an intervention!!! An INTERVENTION!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Uh...yeah.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 02:00 PM

Hi,
It was funny with Christopher at the intervention. They worked him over. Tony is blaming NY for Ralphie disappearing. I figured that would happen. Tony also told Johnny Sac where to get off. This is the set up for the season finale. It looks like T knows who is talking to Sac in next weeks episode. The highlight of the show was Tony and Svetlana. He is still going with Valentina.

Tony, is looking for love where ever he can find it....Can't seem to find real love anywhere...

I think he uses it as his stress relief.

Paulie is getting to be to much a a nut. Can't wait till Tony see that picture at Paulie's place!

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 02:43 PM

Hi,
It seemed like the picture was staring at Paulie. At the end of the episode when they ran the credits a drumroll was played. Uncle Junior was funny when asked about Chris. Junior said do to him like they do to a rabid dog, put him out of his misery.

Yeah, I think Tony is feeling Carmella withdrawing from him. In the past, Tony has always had his goomahs and has kept things from Carm, but she has always been there for him 100%. I think with this Furio thing going on, Carm has been a little distant from Tony, and he can sense that she's keeping something from him. Svetlana was someone who listened to him, and that probably was something he hadn't experienced in a while.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 03:51 PM

Question is will Chris go back after the punks that jacked him? Or is afraid to admit that it happened to everyone. I know that Adrian was pissed about Chris being high and or beat up, but she could of been a little nicer to that guy who helped him get home...even if he was a drugged up dirt bag....

Hey, do you know who I am? sound familiar? at least Chris didn't get a bullet in the eye. So folks never use that line...it an't scaring anybody....

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 08:35 PM

I thought this episode was really good! I can't believe Christopher killed the dog; I think Carm brings AJ with her to see Furio, for her own protection (so to speak); I got bad vibes with Silvio, Paulie and the crew as far as them not trusting Tony.

I don't quite understand why Tony is so upset over a horse, but perhaps he has other issues that will come out later.

If Chris doesn't go thru with his rehab, I don't think he'll last too much longer. btw, with Chris in rehab, do you think the FBI will stop hounding Adrianna??

After the ducks, horse and dog, it seems Tony has more feelings for animals then he does about humans.

I think Chris and Adrianna will make it to Season 5. It's clear either Paulie or Johnny Sac won't.
I'm really hoping Paulie does. He still is the funniest part of the show. There were some indirect spoilers in the local paper here recently. It mentioned several key people looking for more money next season. I guess it's safe to say they made it through season 4 if they're looking for more money in season 5.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 09:41 PM

A really good episode with some nice developments, and some wonderfully humorous moments, as well. Paulie and the painting, that sums up Paulie's quirky personality perfectly!

It seems that these guys (Tony's guys) intuitively know Tony is responsible for Ralphie's disappearance. Tony's tactic to deal with this is, apparently, to cast the blame on Sacrimoni and Lupertazzi. Which will likely lead to a disastrous gang war. A thing to note: Tony called a meeting to discuss Ralph's disappearance. The captains were there: Albert Barese, Carlo Gervaci, Bobby Bacala, Paulie, Vito Spatafore (representing the Aprile crew in Ralphie's absence)... but no Raymond Curto. Where was he during such an important meeting?

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/18/02 11:42 PM

One of the possible plot-thickeners: Resident drug/alcohol programs are very psychology/confrontation-intense. What if Chris gets "brainwashed," admits his mob ties, and swears he's gonna make amends and reform? What if the FBI woman who sent the Hazeldon literature to Chris's house did so to set him up--plant an agent or informer in the program so they can work on Chris or maybe hear him confess the bad things he did? (The news media had a story a couple of years ago about a guy who was in an AA 12-step program and who told the group about a murder he committed. Someone in the group told the authorities, the guy was indicted, and a higher court review ruled that his confession wasn't "confidential.")

The only one who may know for sure and even he wasn't there when it happened is Chris. Tony says he found him....Guys talk about the horse, but who is going to buck the boss? Many hear Johnny Stack and Paulie say over and over about wanting to whack Raphie...so it is anyones game for the blame.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/19/02 01:10 AM

Hi,
Could be Tony is looking to kill two birds(Johnny Sac and Paulie) with one stone. He must have an idea that it was Paulie talking to Sac behind his back.

but Tony thinks that Paulie was in the can for some time....he didn't know that Paulie and Sac could talk on the phone...I don't think he knows that they were that close....

I nearly fell off my chair (well, out of the bed, actually) with the line about Stew Leonard's.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/19/02 05:23 AM

Vic's line to Patsy at the restaurant really stuck with me, referring to Silvio. Something like: "If it was Tony that clipped Ralphie over a horse, he'll be the first one to make a move"

Silvio is the consiglieri and knows the importance of the Rules in "this thing of ours". Tony is the one betraying the family, not the other way around. Ralphie's a jerk, but the powers that be made him a "made guy" for a reason and Tony made him a captain. He has to honor that, unless Ralphie puts the family at risk, like Pussy did. If suddenly Tony starts going around the rules with no business justification, he has to go.

Maybe that's what Chase is going for, the breakdown of the family and structure with our hero as the culprit. Tony's getting too popular with the viewers and he has to remind us that he's not a role model.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/19/02 05:35 AM

That intervention is as funny as Paulie's obsession with death from season 2. I will never laugh louder than when I saw Paulie about to beat up the guy who supposedly spoke to the afterlife.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/19/02 05:37 AM

That could be Oblong! I never really thought of that. How do all of you feel? When the series ends, should Tony end up dead or losing it all, or in jail...or would you rather see it end with him still "on top"? Myself, I can understand if they end with Tony losing everything, and yet, I kind of wouldn't mind if they ended it with him still "in charge". What do you think?

I know that when Johnny Sac wanted Ralphie whacked he went to Carmine for permission, since he's the boss. Had Carmine given him permission, he could have done it. Since Tony is the boss of North Jersey, was he perfectly within his rights to whack Ralphie? That's like having tacit consent, isn't it?

Hi ,
I have been pondering that point. Wouldn't Tony need to have a sit down with Silvio? When he was having a problem with Richie Aprile wanting him dead, Tony consulted Silvio and Silvio said, "We would be better off without him(Richie)." This time Tony acted on his own and I think he knows he messed up. Remember the scene right after he killed Ralphie.

Re: Season 4, Episode 10 - 11/19/02 09:04 PM

I don't think the problem is so much that he whacked Ralphie without "asking" but it's why he whacked him. It wasn't business.
