GFIII... How would you have done it?

If you were unhappy with GFIII, how would you have changed it? what would have been different?

assume you have to make it, no saying "I wouldn't make it in the first place."

also, would you have made it in the late 70's, when it was first proposed, around 1990 when it was actually released, or present-day?

personally, I would have made in like 1978, made some sort of storyline with Michael and Anthony, maybe some sort of falling between Mike and Tom, and I would have used the theme of Connie becoming more of a power player.

The main aspect I think should have been the relationship between Mike and Tom. always thought that would be very interesting.

I wouldn't have cast Briget Fonda,I would have gave Robert Duvell the extra money he was asking for with the money they paid Briget and Developed the relationship with Tom And Michael.

I very much enjoyed the ending so i wouldn't have changed that.

i haven't thought about my version of GF3 till today. So I can tell you what changes I would have liked.
1)Retain the sicily scenes, kay and mike reunion, connie scenes, al neri scenes, tomassino scenes.
2)Reduce the church scams and immobilarie to half of what it is now.
3)Just make a small mention of mary-vincent love story
4)Throw out sofia and bring in Duvall
5)Added more of tom hagen, maybe even Enzo.
6)Throw out all boring characters like luchesi. Retain attobello and zasa's roles.
7)Retain some of the cold heartedness of michael and not make him like a clown
8)Develop anthony-michael relationship more.
9)Probably show some of kay-michael relationship between the current version of GF2 and GF3.
10)Use more of Nino Rota's music of GF1.

The Godfather Part III was an excellent movie, the only thing that I dislike about it is it's lack of action.
