well if it is the movie interpretation of the 2 guys you have to take AL.

If it is the "Real" Luca, then you have to take Luca.

Hmmm. That's tough question. They served two different roles to thier respective Dons. Brasi was the big muscle for Don Vito. A one man killing machine. But Vito never really let him into his daily plans and chose Luca for specific jobs where Vito knew that Luca would be effective. Vito never really let Luca in on the details of those plans. As for Neri, he became the right hand man to Michael. Neri was in Michael's daily plans and was included in on specifics. The only time that Neri was left out was right after the attempt on Michael's life, and that was because at that point Michael did not know who was behind the attempt and the only one that he could trust at that moment was Hagen. I think that Luca and Neri were both valuable to thier respective Dons, but on different levels. Neri had poeple under him and could eventually look to oust you if he became unhappy. Luca on the other hand worked alone, and while he was a bulldog, there would be less of a chance that he would form an alliance with the other soldiers to take me out. I think that I would have to go with Luca. This is a man who could SINGLEhandedly take out a regime.

does anyone (which I believe is turnbull's nickname) know what kind of bodyguards they had back then (30's, 40's). What I mean is this: if Al and Luca were the bodyguards for someone. AL from appearance seems more like a small guy who can use a gun. Where as Luca is a big guy who can "fight" and also use a gun. DO you know which kind would have been used?

I would go with Neri, just because Brasi's rage when unleashed can quite possibly go to far for even either of the Dons (Vito or Micheal) would be able to clean up all of the mess. Where as Neri would know when to stop and keep it from having damaging longterm ramifacations for the family

I think that they were both very different characters in the book vs. the movie. In the novel, Neri was more like Luca, a hot-head that was an excellent enforcer. In the movie, he was much more than that. If we're basing it on the book, I would say that they were equal. As they were protrayed in the movie, I would have to pick Al.

if luca was as loyal to me as he was to vito i would choose brasi everyone would fear you. i didn't like neri; i didn't like the way he talked to tessio in GF returns. Tessio was the best. Back to the point: Luca

They were bodyguards for different men in different eras. More physical force was a necessary quantity during Vito's reign. Organized crime during Michael's reign had evolved to require more of a quality to it than quantity, more finesse.

You really take GFR so serious as to judge them because of their behaviour there? smile
