GF Characters New Year's resolutions

We've done this one in the past -

Sonny: To carry around exact change for tollbooths
Clemenza: To wash his hands before every meal
Geary: To stay away from whorehouses
B.J. Harrison: Not to get so much sun

Etc.

Johnny Fontaine: To start acting like a man.
Mary Corleone: acting lessons.

Carlo: To always sit in the back seat if he's being chauffeured somewhere
Jack Woltz: To never look a gift horse in the mouth
Clemenza: To cut down on the cannoli -- and lose 20 pounds by "mattress season"
Johnny Ola: To never hang his suits with wire coat hangers -- plastic only!
Fanucci: To never wear white after Labour Day
Luca Brasi: To never drink on the job
Fredo: Not to believe everything he's told

I'm blanking with this one for some reason, could you explain

Hyman Roth-never go to Israel

Lucy Mancini: To always make sure she has strong doors to "bang" on.

Don Vito: To stay away from oranges sold at fruit stands.

Tom Hagen: To study the war strategies of great generals.

Sal Tessio: To get just one more chance, for old times sake.


DMC - Cristina, forgive me for answering your question, but I believe that the reference was made to Mr. Ola's untimely demise via hanger.

In Part II, Johnny Ola was choked to death with a wire coat hanger while in Cuba - that's if I remember that correctly! Been awhile since I watched....

Well, it looks like you are the inventor, all the way from 2002 -- and I see we think alike. We both said Clemenza should resolve to give up cannoli and that Cuneo (I thought it was Strachi ) should take the stairs.

BTW, I recall another post where our thoughts were in sync. In some earlier topic, I mentioned the narrative similarities between GF1 and GF2 (an enemy revealed to have been the primary antagonist "all along", betrayals by trusted persons, etc.) Then recently I was browsing some posts going back even earlier than that, and I found that you had listed almost the very same points in another topic. "My goodness," I thought, "if plawrence had read my post, he must have thought I lifted all my ideas directly from him." But it was pure coincidence -- honest .

Great minds think alike (even if my mind is not so great ).

Does this mean that you now have a crush on me, too?

I want you to know, BTW, that your crush on Don Cardi (for reasons I shall not go into here) has made me very jealous.
