Lessons you learned from GF? - 07/15/05 10:17 PM

Has anyone learned any life lessons from watching GF or reading the novel? I'm sure I have. The best lesson being "never let anyone ... know what you're thinking".

It's taught me that thoughts such as Michael's and your's are inherently destructive and contribute nothing to life and living except pain and suffering.

Well maybe if you spent forty minutes in a car with the old bint you might think differently Oli baby. I gave her my best Michael Corleone stare when she read out the bad news. Where does it say you can't kill a driving examiner? I'm talking about a crooked examiner, who got mixed up in the rackets and got what was coming to her. [/b]
LOL 40min, thats why I love NY, mine was 5min, i passed and i drove with one hand the whole time

Yeah, I learned that if someone offers me a glass of scotch "pre war" and then his compatriot offers to shake hands, I go along with it, take the drink and shake the hand.

If you are having a one night stand with a guy in a sketchy apartment, don't go alone to get him a glass of water.

If your sister has a bridesmaid with a honking nose.....bang the crap out of her, as much as you can.....then your bastard son can take over all your family affairs!

If your muscle (Luca) can not talk to you calmly without stamering or studdering.....do not send him to spy on a rival family.

Never trust anyone that looks or sounds like Fredo!!!!

I also learned how to do a wicked donkey imatation!!!!

If you've gone out drinking and carousing with someone, don't later claim you never met the guy.

Never let someone you know to be a hired assassin double as your fishing boat captain.

If you are a body guard and you "call in sick" the day there is an assassination attempt on your boss, don't show up for work again.

Dont' let yourself go soft in the head by playing comedy with a young girl.

You can act like a man, and don't turn out like some Hollywood finocchio saying, "Godfather, what can I do?"

If there is a known plot to assassinate you, don't pause on your way to the car to see some guy imitating a donkey, or to listen to your daughter whine about her love life.

Don't let someone give you a cup of tea right before bedtime.
