Lessons you learned from GF?

Has anyone learned any life lessons from watching GF or reading the novel? I'm sure I have. The best lesson being "never let anyone ... know what you're thinking".

Never to grab my lucky coat when people are shooting at me.

It's taught me that thoughts such as Michael's and your's are inherently destructive and contribute nothing to life and living except pain and suffering.

Yeah, I learned that if someone offers me a glass of scotch "pre war" and then his compatriot offers to shake hands, I go along with it, take the drink and shake the hand.

Never stop to pay a highway toll when you're on your way to killing your brother-in-law.
