I just saw the box set tonight for only 25 bucks. I thought it was way more expensive than that. I was shocked, specialy since the A Few Good Men box set right beside it was runnin for like 90beans. Even i may be able to scrounge up 25 bucks to finally get the dvd.

Has any1 else seen it runnin for that low

Are you sure it's the "exact" DVD with the extra scenes, bonus disc??? I paid 70 for mine. It seems incredibly cheap. Is it used? If it's the DVD as we know it, then that's a hell of a bargain. I'm just leary, because I've never seen it so cheap. I'm mean that's not on sale, that's practically a give away at that price. If it's the real thing, I'd get it if I were you.

I doubt it. Wallmart has sold the VHS trilogy at 24 but definately no where has the DVD been 25.

The "Two Towers" DVD is selling for $14.87 at Wal-Mart. The "Trilogy" DVD goes for about $75.00.

when i was down in delaware for vacation, the godfather set (4 dvds) was $59 at wal-mart.

Watch out though at half.com, make sure to read the description carefully. Sometimes it will be an import or will say missing casing or something like that which most likely means it's a bootleg

Buying VHS over DVD doesn't necessarily mean you have an original copy. It just means you have it on an older format.

I have TGF on VHS, and just recently purchased the DVD set. I would favour DVD anyday now. The extras are great and well worth the money, as well as the vast improvement in picture and sound quality. The only thing that I don't like about DVDs is the expensive prices (though they are coming down somewhat, albeit slowly), and perhaps the fact that you can't record TV programs on your TV set--whereas with VHS you can.

SAve the 25 and Save more Money and get it off of Ebay or Amazon...

If you're gonna get it off of ebay, I would recommend saving up at least 70-80 dollars. Sometimes it gets crazy over there, and the bids get way jacked up. That happened to me whith some CD's and movies.

sometimes amazon sellers screw you over though and say new and shrink wrapped, then you get it and see they shrink wrapped it themselves and the DVD skips.

the 1st time i saw it i thought it was a mistake & i woulda bought it but i didnt havve any $. then i go back & it was gone. So bout an hour ago i look for it again and guess where ifound it...right in the middle of the Disney VHS section. So i dont no wats goin on wit that but all i no is that i got the greatest dvd for $25 & ive seen it fo $80 at other places

now i need to find somewhere to watch it
