I didnt see most of season 3, but i read somewhere that capo ray curto was made to wear a wire (?), Was he whacked in series 3?

Unless my memory's failing, he wasn't whacked, which leaves that "wearing-the-wire" scene hanging, like so many others in the Sopranos (like the Russian guy who escaped into the Pine Barrens).
