My mom got me a bottle of After Shock today while she was out; she said it caught her eye because she knows I love anything cinnamon flavored. What a sweetheart.

It's really good, but I have no idea what to do with it. Everything I read online so far implies that people drink shots of this-- I didn't find any other mixing suggestions yet. And I'm certainly not going to drink a shot of it; I'm certain that I'd burn every last one of my internal organs if I did.

So my question is: have any of you had this? Is there any good way to drink it besides shots? What do people mix it with? I want to make a something cute in a martini glass with it, but I don't know what/how. I'm open to any comments or suggestions.

1/3 oz Rumple Minze® peppermint liqueur
1/3 oz Gold Rush® cinnamon schnapps
1/3 oz Aftershock® Hot & Cool cinnamon schnapps
Pour ingredients into a shot glass in the following order; aftershock, gold rush, rumple minze. Serve.

This is called An "American Death."

then there's also this one :

1/2 oz Avalanche® peppermint schnapps
1/2 oz Aftershock® Hot & Cool cinnamon schnapps
Pour either ingredient into a shot glass first, then slowly pour in the other, mixing half and half.

This one is called "A Purple Medicine."

Never heard of it, but if it's cinnamon it might go well in a cup of coffee.

Whenever I make a pot, I always throw a few dashes of ground cinnamon into the grounds before brewing, and it adds a nice taste.

I drink my coffee black, though. I don't know how it would go with milk or cream in it.

I don't like alcohol in my coffee, but the ground cinnamon idea sounds pretty good. I'm going to try it next time I make a pot of coffee.

DC ( ), those drinks sound SO strong! I bet they're good during allergy season, they'd clear your sinuses right up. I'll try them though, I think we have peppermint schnapps. I'm also thinking of trying a splash of the After Shock in some vodka, shaken with ice. Doesn't sound bad, right? And it'd be pink. :p

I've had red aftershock when I was a kid and the accepted method was to swill it around your mouth like its mouthwash. Its not pleasant and a true test of "character" to see who can endure the lengthiest swilling.

It can also be used in a very tasty cocktail, Cheeky Vimto. Mix a bottle of WKD Blue with a measure of ruby port and a shot of red aftershock. Tastes sweet but takes its toll.

Happy drinking!

I was going to say quit messing around and just get it down you but I actually don't drink the stuff anymore and haven't drank it for about 4 years. That stuff has messed me a few too many times.

The Zia I know and love would be scared of some alcohol. Take it down, just like medicine, in a shotglass.

Vodka and Sunkist is pretty rad, but I don't know about cinnamon flavored vodka. Just take the shots.

I've always drank it straight from the freezer, depending on the alcohol content and how cold your freezer is, you might want to store it in the fridge, but straight is best, one of my faves!!
