BREAKING NEWS: Rizzuto Mob Suffers More Police Raids In Montreal, Reputed Captain Pietro D’Adamo’s Right-Hand Man Collared

Another series of raids were carried out by the law enforcement agencies in Montreal targeting members and associates of the Rizzuto mob this week in La Salle. The raids were centered in the Southwest part of the city and resulted in four arrests, $2,000,000 in cash and more than three dozens kilos of cocaine and crystal meth seized.

All of the people arrested have been released. Some maintain close ties to members of the Rizzuto crime family that got raided late last year. Those string of raids back in December were tied to a gangsterism, gambling, narcotics and cold-case homicide investigation. In those raids, the SQ hit reputed Rizzuto mob captain Pietro D’Adamo’s residence, as well as properties linked to alleged Rizzuto mob street boss Davide (Baldy) Barberio and Rizzuto-ally-turned-fresh rival, street gang boss Jean-Phillippe (The Butcher) Celestin.

Sources say the raids are connected and indictments are expected soon.

On Tuesday, they raided his alleged right-hand man, Giuseppe (Joe Cheese) Arcoraci’s home. Arcoraci, 58, doesn’t have any criminal convictions, despite a plethora of arrests and got his nickname from his ownership of a cheese factory. Arcoraci, who is a restaurateur in La Salle, has ties to Barberio, too. They were busted together by the RCMP in 2015. The charges against Arcoraci were eventually dismissed. RCMP surveillance logs place him in the frequent company of former Rizzuto mob button man Giuseppe (Joe Closer) Colapelle, gunned down in March 2012 amid boiling tensions in the Montreal underworld that have yet to subside. Both D’Adamo and Arcoraci have ties to the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club and worked with the bikers in previous joint business endeavors between the HAs and the Rizzutos, a relationship now in flames.

D’Adamo, 53, was the alleged No. 1 drug lieutenant of slain Montreal mob boss, Rocco (Sauce) Sollecito. He oversees Rizzuto crime family rackets in Southwest Montreal and acts as the organization’s liaison to the city’s Irish underworld and the notorious West End Gang, per court records and SQ intelligence memos. According to those memos, Arcoraci serves as D’Adamo’s go-between with West End Gang boss Gerald (Big Gerry) Matticks. “Joe Cheese” and “Big Gerry” live in the same neighborhood.

“Sauce” Sollecito’s slaying in the spring 2016 is just one of the droves of mob hits that have littered streets in Quebec, Ontario and abroad in a war raging within the highest ranks of the Rizzutos since the late 2010s and the extradition of Godfather Vito Rizzuto to a United States federal prison for a quarter-century old triple homicide. ‘The legendary Don of the Great White North was shipped off to the Supermax facility in Florence, Colorado for six years for his role in the famous “Three Capos Murders” from Bonanno crime family lore and depicted in the movie Donnie Brasco back when he was a young-buck mafia soldier making his bones.

Vito Rizzuto died of cancer in December 2013. Sollecito was one of Rizzuto’s most trusted lieutenants and advisers. His reign as boss of the Rizzuto mob lasted a mere two months. Rizzuto’s eldest son, Leonardo (Leo the Lawyer) Rizzuto, succeeded Sollecito as boss of his family’s vast, but currently on-the-ropes transnational kingdom of crime. The embattled younger Rizzuto’s underboss is reported to be Sauce Sollecito’s progeny, Stephen (Little Sauce) Sollecito. Leonardo Rizzuto, 54, escaped assassination in March 2023 when an attempt on his life in a daring broad-daylight expressway shooting in Laval sparked a separate war with the Hells Angels MC over sports gambling and drug turf in and out of Quebec.

Celestin jumped ship from the Rizzuto mob camp in its war with the bikers less than three months ago, aligning with the Hells Angels, being named a shot caller in the Marauders Motorcycle Club. Celestin’s baby brother and right-hand man, Brandon-Jean Celestin was killed leaving Celestin headquarters in Montreal’s Little Italy back in February. The D’Adamo crew is allegedly tasked with representing the Rizzuto brass to their street-gang faction that up until March was helmed by “JP” Celestin.
