Can somebody help me with the quote at the beginning of the novel, it was something about gold begets more gold....I lost my novel and the new ones don't seem to have this quote.

I'll check round secondhand stores again. I have two copies of The Godfather and none of the two have a quote like that.

My paperback edition with the quote is from Pan Books, England 18th printing 1980
