Watching the series for the 3rd time now I just noticed when chris got made paulie says as a made guy he has to kick up 10 percent with a 6K minimum every week

So this means chris is expected to earn $60k a week or $3 mill a year as a soldier ??
Seems a little far fetched to me
What you guys Think ??

My understanding is that the 6K a week was only for the Bookmaking operation he was put in charge of.

Then, on top of that, he would have to give 10 % of his general income (which should be much less than 6k a week as you pointed out).

My understanding is that the 10% /6K/wk minimum was only for the bookmaking operation that Paulie gave Chris. If the operation didn't yield the minimum, then Chris would be expected to make up the difference from his own racket income. Paulie would not be entitled to a regular cut of any of Chris's other operations. By real-life Mob standards, this is an unusual arrangement. Although there may be exceptions.most Mob Families require their Soldiers to kick up a minimum of 50% of all of their income to their Captains. The Captains then kick up a minimum of 10% of their income from the Soldiers to the Boss.

Wasn't it Paulie's operation that he let Christopher run? When Christopher is short, Paulie demands that he pay him the rest and he wants it out of Christopher rackets. He wants his Fucking money. Christopher blames the light envelope strictly to a shitty streak in football. Christopher might only be getting a percentage for running Paulie's book, but as the owner of the book Paulie wants his six grand a week. I have to get out of healthcare and get into legal sports betting.

Ain't that the truth ! The money taken down by the Casino industry is ferocious. Here in PA,they legalized Sports Betting,a while back and that has really brought in the cash. You get tons of people who would never bet with a bookie,or go into an illegal gambling joint. You have legitimate, vetted employees, income you can show, and a built in mathematical House Edge to keep the money rollin' in. You kick up the appropriate taxes and licensing fees, and the rest goes in the Corporate coffers. The big Pittsburgh Casino (The Rivers) took in around 228 million in 2020. That was about 40% lower than 2019, when the revenue was 392 million. The drop was probably due to the Covid 19 situation. Having said that, one of the complaints that Rivers management has expressed is about the 45% tax on slot revenue (their biggest source of income) that the State takes.
