My vote goes to "Mean Streets," Keitel's most interesting and nuanced role--a perfect counterpart to DeNiro in one of DeNiro's greatest roles. All the others in this video were good. I would have loved to have seen him do more in "The Irishman"--he was great as Angelo Bruno in that brief scene in the restaurant where he tells Sheeran (DiNero) that he burned down a laundry owned by Bruno.

Imagine what he'd have done in "Apocalypse Now" if he hadn't been summarily yanked and replaced by Martin Sheen (who was excellent).

1. Profaci had immense personal wealth and property, much of it from legitimate businesses. But Bonanno had a bigger borgata, and had ties and alliances to families and rackets in Canada and Sicily. So I think Bonanno was the stronger of the two. As for "ranked higher": If you believe Bonanno's autobiography, "A Man of Honor" [sic], he was the most respected and influential member of the Commission, and was the prime mover of the self-named "Pax Bonanno."
2. I don't think a war between the two families would ever happen because both men had fatal leadership flaws that would have made their troops reluctant to fight for them. Profaci was greedy, squeezed his men unmercifully."Follow the money" trumps "loyalty" and "honor." Also,he was humiliated by the Gallos when they kidnapped almost his entire hierarchy, narrowly missing him, and he had to appeal to the Commission to free the hostages. That's when Gambino began "suggesting" that Profaci step down, but h stayed on with Bonanno's help. But Bonanno caused deep rifts in his family when he pushed to make his son, Salvatore (Bill) his successor. And, after the Commission expelled him following the failed plot against Lucchese and Gambino, he went into hiding--and about half his family defected to Gaspar DiGregorio, the Commission-appointed new boss. How many in either family would have been willing to risk their lives to save their bosses?

I was born in the mid 50's, raised Roman Catholic, was an altar boy,and even attended a grade school where "Mass before class" was the rule.
We went every day and since we were expected to take Communion , we couldn't eat for three hours before.

.We would bring our breakfast in a bag and eat it at our desks before school began.
The rule back then was no meat on Fridays year round.
After a while we just fasted (refrained from meat) on Fridays during Lent and Xmas Eve.

My Mom was the only family member who fasted every Friday for her whole life.

Speaking of Baybasins.
Baybasin, sentenced to life in prison, is a headache for the Dutch Justice Department. The justice department is seriously concerned about Hüseyin Baybasin, who has been sentenced to life in prison, and is delaying his release.

No doubt he is very serious guy, but his case has been a set up from the start.

My brother in law was prepared to kamikaze his F16 into the 911 terrorist plane aimed at the Capitol building on September 11th, 2001. America has lost one of the quiet heroes who guard her while the rest of us sleep in peace at night. Thank you for your service, Marc.

If you could post those images below, individually I would grateful. It's a shame that you feel it necessary to insult me personally, when I have been nothing but cordial. If it makes you feel better, go ahead curse me out, accuse me of being drugs, take the first punch, beat my ass, its all good. I thought we were having an interesting exchange of thoughts and information. It's unfortunate that you perceived it as a competition instead of an exchange of information. I don't remember questioning your information regarding anything about Roselli but I found your post informative. As far as Gentile, you may want to check this site devoted to clarifying Mr. Gentile's manuscript.

In this issue of Informer (our thirtieth), we strive to bring Nicola Gentile’s entire life story to the English-language reader. Building on extensive original research by a team of Mafia history experts and on U.S. government documents designed to extract meaning from the memoirs, we attempt to balance Gentile’s obviously self-serving and self-aggrandizing autobiographical work with verifiable history, to correct the misinformation and to fill in the wide gaps in his personal account.

Sorry is this you? - "You're asking the forum to take your word, because YOU say you've gathered information over the years, but we don't know that, and if you gathered information, why not post a image, newspaper clipping or anecdotal account to enlighten us and make your point. "

Also I posted clips regarding Esposito and Capone, meaning Roselli wasnt my target, and I also waited for your opinion regarding the rest of the clips but as usual, nothing.

Now, first of all you disrespectfully questioned my credibility and acting like you are a member of the Outfit (I personally hate that). Second, you obviously belong to the "gang from across the street" and third, you never answered on any of my posts but instead you're constantly making commercials for the Informer thing and we all should take your word for granted and also spend money for personal opinions. Thats why we are done.

Btw, say "hello" to Rick aka Faithful1 aka Antiliar from me (Dushan aka Toodoped aka Villain). We used to be in friendly relationship back in the days and we used to exchange lots of information, and probably he is one of the few Outfit researchers that I still have some type of respect. Also, he shouldve prepared you before coming at me like that since you want to question one of the worlds most hated and at the same time one of the best researchers on the Outfit lol. Not all ppl are perfect, right?! Nice "talking" to ya. Goodbye

Deuces, don't let the door hit your ass on the way out. Too bad you got butt hurt over me challenging your non existent credibility. I cited independent objective opinions from published authors and website owners while you posted only your worthless opinion and second hand, translated, acoounts from a bitter, broken man who had to rely on his neighbors to feed him. I just printed out your FBI files so I can wipe my ass with them for the rest of the week.
As far as your other accusations, I don't know any of those people or "Outfit", whatever the fuck that is. Stay off the hallucinogenic, you're mind will remain clearer.

Ignored. What a creditless fool. I feel sorry for Rick.

So is your mother.

What would you guys say is the average timeframe a guy can have a criminal career realistically before they end up facing serious prison time? How long can they live life committing crime before the feds catch on? 5 years maybe?

With all the rats out there and technology and everything I really can't see how a longer timeframe is being realistic.

To be specific this is in regards to things such as drug distribution on a federal scale , sex trafficking prostitutes in different states (not underage) or money laundering.
