Just re-watching series one for the first time as series four draws to a close in the UK.

Something I had missed on my first viewing, we first see Adrianna as a restaurant hostess in when Tony bumps into Dr Melfi in the busy eaterie.

Next time we see her is in episode 1 with Christopher waiting in the nightclub cue as Martin Scorsese goes past (cringeworthy moment in itself)

What was the deal with putting these two together? No background information seems to be provided about this key relationship in all future series. Did the makes simply like the look of the actress from the pilot episode so hitched her character to Christopher?

I'd also forgotten from these very early episodes how much of a dick Christopher was back then. Must have been pretty tempting to give him a bit of a bashing......

What's changed? Hopefully he will have rejuvenated himself and will be a flat-out good guy in season four...but does a leopard ever change his spots?

As for Adrianna, I believe that was unintentional (at the time) that she can be seen as a hostess. As annother example of this, Vito Spatafore can be seen as "Gino" in the Bakery in "The Legend of..." episode (same season, the orange cover. )

Good point, well made about Christopher over the piece I suppose. Though he has shown himself to be far more of an allie than he certainly appears from the outset. Granted, series four has seen him become a REAL liability at times, but in between times he has had his moments.
