I came up with this. Listen how about Kay is about to die and she tells Sonny real son to make the family legitimite. So basically it will be a feud between Vincent and Sonny's other son. And we can put Pacino back in this movies with flashbacks between marys death and his death. And I think they should make Nick Cage as Sonny son. I would work.

The problem is what right has Kay to give orders to Sonny's son. She must be rather far from business by that time. The second problem - Family is legit already for a long time. They might disagree only about stepping - or not stepping back in. As to Cage... Well, this movie has always been a Family Business...

I don't think Kay wants anything to do with the family business, and indeed what rights does she have to give orders to Sonnys son.

And I also believe the Micheal chapter in the Godfather history is closed after part III.
