I think there should be a Godfather 4 with Vincent Mancini (Andy Garcia) as THE DON!
Michael died in part 3 but there might be a way of fitting him in (maybe a flashback). And I think we should get Coppola back for the movie!
Who agrees?

I saw the words that the poll was moved to another forum, so I hope I'm not posting in the wrong place. I wouldn't mind seeing a GODFATHER, PART IV, as long as Coppola is involved and is allowed to do it his way without studio interference. I thought his death in PART III came too abruptly and I'd love to know what happens between the periods of Mary and Michael's deaths.

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! no number 4 dont ruin a classic a classic TRILOGY IE 3 NOT 4!!!

tho (lol) if they were to do one it should be between like 1970 (end of part III ish) and 1990 leading upto Mike's last days.

NO NUMBER 4 BOYCOT FILMING!

It's not personal, Sonny...It's strictly business

No number 4 as Francis Ford Coppola is out of the directing business unless he gets other personal projects greenlighted by the studios. A 4th film also would hurt the saga's tale of the sicilian family. I'm not very interested in hearing if Vincent leads the family to continue in the underworld organized crime or if he allows the family to be destroyed by their enemies, maybe even get the family to be fully legit.

Part of the appeal of the original films, is that they were based on real life incidents. I just don't think continuing the story, using current real life incidents, would be that interesing. The first two showed the strenth of the crime families, and were very good, but the third, which has been the topic of more then one debate as to liking it or not liking it, was weak for many reasons, mainly, I think, the story line.

His recent project was actually just canned I believe so yeah, FFC seems to be having some problems. :p

I would say that Jeepers Creepers 2 though earned him a nice profit in theatrical and the soon to be DVD profits, as he's been producing several box office successes over the years, though he hasn't been directing for years instead working on his personal projects and only direct his personal projects.

Part III closed the story on Michael and that should be the end.

I cannot see FFC being anywhere near as passionate about a part IV as he was about the originals.
