part four may definatly not happen if paramount doesn't hurry up and green light it. with de niro having prostate cancer, who knows how serious that may be. and if de niro isn't part of a flash back part four then it won't be worth making or watching. i really hope those people at paramount and f.f.c. wake up and realise that soon the prospect of continueing this francise will only be a dream.

I'm sure htough they would want only Francis ford Coppola to direct the movie and produce it, as he is semi-retired from what I hear and is only producing movies in Hollywood now. Francis would never want to do another Godfather film without Mario Puzo as well.

They don't need DeNiro at all. I would love to see him as Vito again, but if they are desperate enough, they can easily use someone else though it won't be as good. And I definately agree with Lights on this one, Coppola doesn't want to do it without Puzo, and Coppola should be the only one who can do it, changing directors would only bring in the hate mail, not a good choice, when actors are changed frequently.
