When it comes to Thanksgiving, it all comes down to giving thanks, football, and FOOD. Besides the necessary Ham/Turkey/Both, what are some of BBer's favorite side dishes? For me, I'd have to say a nice portion of Sweet Potatoe with some ooey gooey Marshmellows on top... Mmm.
Hey, how's it going?

Although I'm more meat& potatos" type gal, :p I enjoy yams, greenbean casserole, and of course the stuffing. Even though there's always a lot of desserts, I'm more the main course. I'll have extra helpings of the turkey and not much room is left for dessert. It's tradition for me to make a strawberrie/cranberrie jello that everyone seems to enjoy. TIS

My mom makes an awesome mushroom pie (it's like stuffed mushrooms, but in a shallow pie dish; her stuffed mushrooms rock, too) & an awesome sausage/rice stuffing and gravy! However, we haven't had that on Thanksgiving in a while since one of my brothers has been hosting Turkey Day. But, she usually makes her version a week or two later for me and my dad. My favorite sides also include candied yams/sweet potatoes, as well as a baked one, and the requisite gelatinous "cranberry sauce" from the can. And T-Day wouldn't be complete without a slice of pumpkin pie!
I studied Italian for 2 semesters. Not once was a "C" pronounced as a "G", and never was a trailing "I" ignored! And I'm from Jersey! lol Whaddaya want me to do? Whack a guy? Off a guy? Whack off a guy? --Peter Griffin My DVDs | Facebook | Godfather Filming Locations
